You can't beat this place - they have the same quality as some of the trendier restaurants for a more affordable price. The tuna is amazingly fresh, and delicious no matter how you order it. The barramundi and lobster rolls were also great. Save room for dessert, the homemade cakes are to die for!

5 stars? Really? Here's Why. I walked in this place at 11pm on a Sunday night. Expecting to get crappy Sunday night service. I was treated like a pharaoh...the Pope... Ryan Reynolds. I ordered the wings. The secret to wings is the blue cheese. It was homemade in house. Good food. Good times.

Nice place but I agree with Liz L. The food was OK but not worthy of the high price. $29.99 for a 10oz tuna steak with two mediocre sides. I was disappointed. Service was good and we were seated promptly.

One of the only places that was open late during the off season. They have a regular menu and a late night menu. I got there for the late night menu which had small apps but also small meals. I got the fish and chips which were pretty good. I think they had a nice variety of beers on tap and in bottles. Bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The space of the restaurant is fairly large and abundant tables and chair. I could see this place very packed in the summer. This could be one of my go to restaurant/bar in RB.

Amazing place. Fresh food and beer. Large portions. Terrific service. If you are in Rehoboth area, you need to check this place out. The salmon blt is so good. Oysters are fresh. Beer that they make on premise is solid plus they have a huge draft and bottle list. Nice selection of wine it seemed although I didn't try any myself. The service was fast considering it was a Saturday late afternoon. Very well done.

We love the Fins on Rehoboth Ave, but this one needs some help in the kitchen. We went for HH but the food took forever with no update from the waitress. The order went in together but the raw oysters took at least 15 minutes longer to get than the rest of the food. Also the lines for the bathroom were insane because there is just ONE women's stall and ONE men's stall (which makes no sense at at bar/restaurant).

Looking for a good place to eat while out and about shopping can be a hard choice. There are so many store and restaurants in the immediate area that it can be hard to decide. Fin's stuck out immediately and drew us just at a first glance. The place is original and different, and they even brew their own beer. I suggest stopping by, its a cool stop if you're traveling.

Eh, okay I guess. It could be worse but it could certainly be better. The prices are high and the food is just okay. I ordered the fried green tomatoes which were heavy and grossly greasy. My husband had the bruschetta which was served on soggy bread. I would guess these apps were plated long before they were served. I had a wedge salad as my entrée because they don't offer a single vegetarian entree. My husband's chicken piccata was "fine" and my daughter enjoyed the blackened tuna, but it was a little pricey at $30. Much better and friendly options in the area. Our server had zero personality and made no effort to make us feel welcome. We'll be spending our money elsewhere.

Bad service, and overcooked tuna was our experience at this Highway 1 location. We frequent Fins in Rehoboth Beach, and the seafood was always perfectly prepared, the wait staff attentive, and our experience enjoyable. There was a 45 minute wait, so we drove to the Fins on Highway 1 this time. Poor Choice. We started with the waitress telling us they did not serve Jalapeno Margaritas at this location, then we later found it on the menu. This was one of the only times we saw our waitress, and had to either look for another waitress or go to the bar for service. We always enjoy the perfectly prepared seafood, but at this location, the tuna was overcooked. Twenty minutes later, when we could not locate a waitress, we began eating, but one of our party went to the bar for ketchup for the fries, and asked for either a waitress or the manager. The waitress finally came and offered to redo our order, but by this time, we began eating, the children were tired, and we left half of the overcooked tuna on the plate. At $29, that's disappointing. Very disappointing since we have recommended Fins Fish House to many friends.

My husband and I went here for lunch. It was amazing! Extremely fresh seafood, good service, and decent pricing. Save room for dessert. We had the chocolate butter cream cake. It was a huge portion and to die for. Can't wait to go back this weekend!

My husband and I celebrated our second anniversary with an outstanding meal. I had never eaten mussels, now I'm hooked. The wait staff was personable and attentive. Appreciate the choice of both small plates and full entrees.

Very slow service. Uninformed wait staff. Raw oysters were very good but both meals were well below average. Priced like a great seafood restaurant bit fell far short.

I liked the oyster shots. The service was good but they do not do any menu substitutions, it was strange.

  • Marc M.

The oysters were great. Service was okay. But as others point out: the entree prices do not reflect the quality. Nothing wrong with the crabcakes or tuna we got, they were actually good. But the sides were terrible. Undercooked, underseasoned, bland and terrible. Too many other great places in the area where I can pay top dollar and get a meal worth the price.

I've been a regular customer of this business for years and the quality of service at both locations seems to be falling. We stopped in on a rainy weekday. The place was practically empty. There were more wait staff than customers, ad I still had bad service. The waiters were all hanging out shooting the breeze and it became necessary to call the guy over more than once. Needless to say, he appeared annoyed that I pulled him away from his personal business to retrieve my bill. The food is okay. Oyster Po Boy is above average and the beer selection is very good. There are plenty of places like this at the beach. I'd recommend looking further.

Visited with a friend on Friday night, this was my 2nd time here. The bartender was friendly and made me a drink with pear vodka, sprite, and cranberry which was delicious. Much better than the pricey gross drinks we had the last time. He also gave us the name and number of a reputable cab company in case we ever need it. I still want to try the lobster roll which I heard was fantastic, but the kitchen was closed. Will definitely be back.

i had some sort of bitter ale that was excellent. steamed shrimp was perfect, and i ordered fried clams because that is like my favorite thing ever and i've had it at the one on rehoboth ave. sadface, after i ordered them the server came back and said they were out. so, i got fried oysters and they were completely yummers. no wait for a table at 6pm which really surprised me.

  • Lora A.

Sat on the patio, near really nice... Server sucked, once our appetizers came out, he never came to see how anything was... He seemed very overwhelmed with every table. I got the steamed shrimp, which had no flavor, had steamed shrimp for another place on the shore the other night and they were amazing, I was definitely disappointed. Not sure if we will come back again, though the fried green tomatoes were very good...

Decent. I would send people if they love oysters. Space is nice. Server was great. Food options limited. Meh

We came in later on a Friday nite and they happily sat us. Our server Natasha was friendly and very helpful explaining menu items. The fish(es) were fresh, the choices of toppings delicious and left NO room for dessert. We will certainly eat here again! Our friends live nearby and it's becoming their "go to" place!

This place is delicious! We wanted to get oysters but not have to deal with the paid parking nightmare of Rehoboth Ave. so I'm glad we found Fins. I was thoroughly entertained by the draft beer water fountain on the patio. The cornhole outside also lets you know this place is a fun time. We were a large party so we knew to come at a non-peak time of 4 pm. But it was actually still quite crowded but that was because it's Labor Day weekend. My husband and I split the fried lobster tails, which were amazing. I love fresh juicy lobster and frying it up just makes it even more delectable. I especially liked how they kept the lobster attached to the shell for a nice presentation. My main dish was the lobster roll. I didn't realize there were tomatoes mixed in, but they were finely diced so it wasn't overwhelming. The lobster again was fresh and juicy. I washed down my meal with a Belgian Blonde, which is perfectly light and summery. I would definitely go again for happy hour, but will bring a beachy attitude because this place gets very crowded.

Pretty poor experience here. Arrived 6pm greeted by a very rude foreign girl who clearly hates her job. Waitress didn't show up until 6:10. Ordered at 6:15 Calamari appetizer and three main course meals for us. Calamari shows up at 6:30 delivered by someone other than our waitress. The calamari was very dry with lots of batter on it, so much so that was all we could taste. Mail courses didn't show up until 7:05 this was the next time we finally saw our waitress again. Food was ok for its price and portion sizes were ok. Waitress never returned to ask how anything was. At 7:30 we were able to flag her down to get our checks. Took until 7:45 to be paid and out the door. One hour and 45 minutes for a meal that could of be in and out in 30! Horrible service. Ok food. Not a place I would ever go back to again.

My family and I always have a great time at FINS! We especially love HAPPY HOUR of course! Go there Mon-Thurs 3pm-6pm or Friday & Sunday 11am-6pm! Sit in the bar area (the whole left side of the restaurant). They have delicious shrimp, clams, oysters, and mussels for a great deal. I wasn't a huge fan of the mussel marinara, but everything else on the HH menu was delectable! My favorite appetizer is the calamari. I've tried so many different entrees and sandwiches here and have never been disappointed. i love the half pound burger, lobster and shrimp mac n cheese, lobster roll, crab cake, shrimp n grits. I LOVE the different selections of Bloody Mary's and beer. The beer menu rotates often and they have many to pick from.

Local establishment with a couple locations. Highlights for me were the oysters. There were about 6 or 7 types to choose from. They are all shucked and prepared by the bar. They have a very decent dinner and bar menu with fresh fish offerings. Very nice bar, good atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff.

A pleasingly upscale local bar and restaurant, located away from the mayhem of the main drag near the beach (where there's apparently another Fin's location). Beer selection, oysters, and mixed-drinks were all very good, with friendly and attentive service. Late-night cooked food was utterly forgettable. There's a number of beers on tap, as well as decent top-shelf liquor selection. The inside has a large L shaped bar and a number of regular tables, with tall 2-tops along the wall. When we were there (july 2015), a small patio was freshly constructed outside and not open yet (google maps still shows a row of parking space on that side of the building). Rehoboth has a better dining and drinking selection than most mid-Atlantic beach communities, but it's still a pleasure to find something more upscale in this quieter location, especially that stays open later hours. Recommended.

Disappointed 9/19/15. Been here before and had good meals. Good selections. Crab cakes and Chicken Marsala was good. Too much filler for being a fish place. Oyster selection/ taste was good. Disappointed in grouper tacos and fish and chips portions. Only had 2 tacos and 2 pieces of cod. Had to order fries to make a meal with tacos. Oysters were good. Will try again sometime

You can do a LOT better than this place, especially considering the price points on the menu. We ate there last night. Not terribly busy but there were a good amount of people at the bar. We were seated immediately and our server was pleasant enough, but she had too many tables. We skipped drinks and did a sampler plate of raw oysters to start off. Good selection and all tasted fresh, the platter came out without cocktail sauce and crackers (Raw Oysters 101). I ordered the paella. Asked for garlic bread to dip into the broth that usually comes in paella. Was told they don't have garlic bread, even though I eyed two menu items that were served with garlic bread. As for the dish itself, it was bland and uninspired... Artlessly put together with mounds and mounds of bland seafood that seem to be there just to get them out of the kitchen. Zero broth, either. Just a large, messy mound of seafood and rice. I didn't order dessert, so I cannot comment on it, but I ate enough to know I will never eat there again.

We stopped here on our way back home from Ocean City and I'm so happy that we did. First let me start with the service, our waitress was super amazing. very friendly, pleasant and got our order right. Our group of 6 sat on a high table by the bar since it was happy hour. I don't personally eat raw clams or oysters but my friends did and get raving about how delish and fresh they were. I did get to try the burger, tater tots, Fins salad and jambalaya. I have to say everything was so good. I can't wait to be in the area again to come back.

An excellent restaurant and raw bar. Food is delicious, atmosphere is great. Wait staff is friendly. We are definitely coming back again. We had the seafood paella, lobster roll and seared tuna all were very yummy. we also had the raw clams and raw oysters. We love the fresh horse radish. We definitely recommend this place.

One word.....underwhelming. We got here late, so they only had a limited menu. My boyfriend ordered oysters, but we were told the raw bar was closed, even though the table next to use just got a tray of oysters. We ordered crab dip, a local favorite. The dip was pretty blah, it tasted more like tuna fish and had cheap melted cheese on top, the cheese almost had a "plastic" taste. For "entrees" (slim picking on the late night menu, it was 9:30) we ordered fish & chips and a burger. The fish was cooked well, flaky, yet had no taste....needed lots of salt. The burger which he ordered rare, came out medium and was just OK. The fries were decent. I was very disappointed in this establishment since it had such great reviews, could have just been an off night? Don't know if its worth giving another shot?

Best Happy hour, great fish tacos, steamed oysters and clams. Try their own new line-up of craft beers ! Always a must stop place when we are in Lewes!!

I called this location last night in order to get take-out. The girl that answered the phone told me that she have to check with the kitchen to see if that was available. She had the worst attitude. On a Wednesday night she lost probably about a $100 take-out order because I just hung up. This is not the first time that I have had an issue with this Fins location. The food here is not the same as their avenue location. Their lobster sauce is runny and their sides are subpar. Last time that I ate here I got the lobster mac & cheese and it was not even edible. The cheese tasted sour. Do yourself a favor and go to the Fins on the Avenue which gets five stars! You cannot get a bad meal at their other location! The staff here is very unwelcoming and clearly not out to make money. Btw - The issue with the staffing, lack of customer service, and horrible food has been an ongoing issue since this restaurant was opened. It's not your summer staff.

First time eating there but we will be back. Very friendly atmosphere, good beer selection, had the selection of oysters they were great. Also had dinner from the fresh fish selection, lots to choose from. Was sorry I didn't save room for dessert they looked amazing

Great selection of beer! Not a huge selection for entrees. Had the crab dip appetizer. It was ok, nothing to write home about. And wasn't impressed with the entrees, so we headed elsewhere. It was a nice place, great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Seemed to be ok for children.

Second and Last Time For Lunch Seriously tried by giving them a second chance, but, honestly the food is just okay. Service was fine. The next time I will just enjoy their multitude of draft beers and eat somewhere else!

I have been a huge fan of this place for years. I felt like it went down hill after the chef's left to open there new restaurant. But, they have been slowly coming back - especially if you like fish. You can put fish on whatever salad they have - that's my favorite.

Absolutely perfect every time I go to this place. I will eat here as long as I am in the Rehoboth/Lewis area.

We come here on a weekly for brunch and at least once a week for dinner. Service is ALWAYS amazing. They appreciate their customers, the food is absolutely delicious and, while it is slightly pricey, it is totally worth it.

After waking up with a serious appetite for a late brunch, I quickly attempted to find one of the local establishments in the area to quell my famished state. Unfortunately as with beach life, nothing really opens until the late afternoon with the exception of Dogfish which I had already been two twice so was looking for another fine place. I really wanted to avoid a chain spot, and luckily I was able to find this near the main strip area that you come in/out of Rehoboth that was open at 11 AM. I started off with the clams casino. It was done pretty well, with the exception of the larger pieces of bacon but hey not really complaining here just making a note of it. Next I had been craving lobster and the lobster roll was a no brainer. To my surprise it was actually a larger version of the lobster roll, meaning it was really a nice pile of lobster will little fillers and it was satisfying and well priced for the portion size. The big attraction for me was the nice selection of various craft beers on tap. I sampled a few and I also must say that price wise you can't seem to complain too much in Rehoboth for beer. Fins was no exception. I left the place happy and well stuffed. If you're in a crunch and need an early lunch head on over here, you can't go wrong. Buen Provecho!

First time here and most likely won't be my last. Appetizers I recommend calamari or crab dip for entrees I got the paella and it was amazing, and for desert the carrot cakes amazing. Definitely a really impressive resteraunt.

Solid place. Great happy hour specials, and our server heard the word "groom" and gave him a free bloody mary!

Service NOT good. Sat for 15 minutes, asked bartender & hostess for wait person and still no wait person. Had to walk out to get noticed. Hope management takes this to heart.

Really nice sandwiches, soups, and, of course, oysters. Wide choice of craft brews to wash it down. The short rolls are nice and crispy. I found the mac and cheese ok (Zoggs still wins on that one). The newer place on Route 1 is nicely decorated and has probably the prettiest ladies room for a restaraunt. Fresh catches daily. Avoid the dinner crowds and stop in for lunch.

  • Mike C.

The happy hour deals are perfect. We tend to go and order a doEn or two of the oysters and a plate or two of the fish and chips. The oysters are $1 each and very good. The fish and chips are $5 and are the best tasting I have ever had. The one thing I will say is that they are over priced because you only get two fish for that price. 3 would honestly seem more reasonable. The fries are very good though. I recommend getting there early because it tends to pack up VERY fast in the bar hour for happy hour.

Stopped by for my 1st time for happy hour, really good drink and food specials, I had the fish tacos , one of the happy hour specials, very good !! I will be back.

We finally ate in the dining room this past Thursday night. The seared tuna appetizer was nice but a little pricey for three strips of tuna at $14.99. The seafood cioppino was amazing and perfect for a cold fall night. The beer flight at $10.50 is a little high too but love the concept of four 5 oz pours of any of the 24 beers they had on tap. Amy was our server and she was terrific. Went back system say for happy hour on the bar. Mussels were tasty but a little cold maybe because we ordered too much and it all arrived at once and seafood gets cold quickly. The steamed shrimp were hot and delicious and we like the clams, ordered fish and chips and we substituted broccoli for the fries. Yummy too, this is a nice place in off season because in summer it gets too crowded. We did it two nights in a row so it's obviously a winner. We will be back.

Sunday brunch was outstanding! Everything was great from the waffles to the salmon. Great value for the price. Service staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We will defintely be coming back often!

Paella, more of a combination with jambalaya and with great results! Unfortunately the lovely wife had that. I went with the shrimp and grits. Shrimp lightly done I a great sauce and labeled over a hockey puck of what I hesitate to identify as grits. Literally kept their shape throughout the meal as I ate around it. What really burned me is that I spoke with the waiter about this and he said 'I see' then went on his way.

Wanted to check it out due to "I can walk there". Found the experience OK nothing special. Wait staff attentive but needed to be more excited about his job. I had Shrimp & Grits my buddy Fish & Chips. I am a fan of Shrimp in every fashion and for the price I expected better. The place has 15+ micro brews on tap. For those who appreciate craft beer the score may be bumped up. I am a regular old lite draft beer chump. We both gave the place a 5 out of 10. January Saturday night at 9pm the place was packed. Maybe it's me. I will try again, right now I'm thinking its another pair of black shoes.

Wanted to come here for the lobster roll which looked fantastic last time I was in. But due to rain storm outside made the mistake of getting one at Jake's. Big mistake. But stopped in Fins for another snack. Went with the seafood potato skins. And I tried the pickle martini. It looked like murky pond water. No garnish at all. No olive or pickle? Who serves a pickle martini with no pickle? It was gross too. The potato skins were not great either. I guess I expected a nice cream seafood sauce on them or something but they were kind of dry. I really don't recall seeing a scallop at all.. Maybe that was due to the pickle martini. Will give another shot for lobster roll.

Service here is mediocre at best. I've eaten here several times and find the wait staff to be fairly attentive, with very bad attitudes. From attitudes about seating, to no apologies for an incorrect order, they just don't seem to care. It's a shame because the food is good.

    (2)
  • Sidney C.

At first it was great, but then it went downhill. One particular waitress was confrontational and condescending with customers - she likes to give wise crack comments and blame on customers when she gets the order wrong. The food and drinks were fine, it was just the bad service. If the waitress cant stand customer service, then she ought to find another line of work or better yet work behind the bar....away from the public. PS: Fins' General Manager made it right with thoughtful appeasement.

This place was new to us and decided to try it upon a recommendation from a friend. It was busy, it was the weekend of Labor Day, but we got seated right away. The waiter we had was nice and recommended the tilefish special they had. I had never had this before, so I tried it. It was scrumptious. The other two people in our party had fish and chips and crab cake, both said they were very good. We will definitely try this place again.

We just moved to Delaware and stopped by Fins on a whim after shopping a couple of weeks ago. It was happy hour and it was terrific. We had the shrimp that was on the happy hour menu and the seafood stuffed potato skins ( not part of happy hour menu). Both were delicious! The portions were large, tasty and inexpensive. We went back again last Friday and had more shrimp, mussels and the fish and chips all from the happy hour menu. Again we were thrilled with the food, the prices and the staff. It was very busy both times but the staff was attentive and pleasant. We will be going back again and again.
